Notre Dame

The Cathedral of Notre Dame is tiny, by a kinda dirty river, and next to one of the busiest roads in the world. That is why I absolutely love it. Yes, the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triumph are beautiful works of art, but perhaps they are most famous for being huge. Not so with Notre Dame. It is wonderful because there isn't a square inch on that building that isn't adorned with the most amazing stone work you could imagine. Can you believe that it was completed in 1250. I wasn't able to go inside because it was closed; I did however hear Quasimodo ring the bells at ten o'clock. WOW!! I'd like to see the statue of Joan of Arc inside.
