Kissing under the Tower

Originally we had planned to walk from the Arc de Triomph to the Place de la Concorde, but our route was cut short by a bunch of barriers on the sidewalk just a few meters away from the place. We'll have to go back later, it would be a shame to miss out on seeing those fountains.
Instead, we made our way across the Alexandre Bridge (Paris' prettiest) and walked along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower. On our way we saw the tower begin to sparkle, trying to call us in. Yes it was hot. Yes our feet hurt. Yes there were lots of people there and not enough benches for any of them. Yes there was some sort of dust goober on the camera lens. All this, but we had a great time at the tower anyhow. The moment was so right that I couldn't help but take my wife in my arms and give her a great big kiss. The romance was only interrupted by a souvenir-selling Parisite who decided it would be a great time to shove some roses literally between our faces, trying to sell them. Grrrr. No big deal though, we'll be coming back to the tower many times again for sure, and I'm sure I will be kissing her again (Sara, not the tower).
