For several months now we've been offering the firstlings of our pizza flock to Zoe. She usually snubs the pizza and instead demands, by way of grunting, for yet another bowl full of ramen noodles. Those things were borderline inedible back in college, but Zoe has rendered them disgusting thanks to all the places she's managed to lodge them all over the house. We always hoped that one day she would accept our pizza offering, thus officially becoming a normal child, and finally, at the famous Gino's East of Chicago she enjoyed her first slice. As seen in this video, she very much enjoyed it. You can tell because she only makes chicken wings when she is overwhelmed with joy. I should have thought about the consequences of pizza sauced hands being rubbed across white tee shirts when chicken wings are made.
We took a big risk by forsaking our beloved Giordano's to try Gino's East. Can't say the pizza was bad, but Giordano's is slightly better and is waaaay cheaper. Gino's uses cornmeal for their crust. Weird but good. You can't help but love that you are encouraged to draw on the walls while eating. But I looked around and saw no pre-2006 graffitis...something's a foot. Maybe the reason the pizza is so pricy is that they gotta pay some youngster named Justin to search for three-year-old signatures and rub them out. For any of you hardcore Amazing Race fans out there, this is the place that they had to eat an entire deep dish pizza before trotting off to the finish line in the last episode of Season 6. Extra points to anyone that actually watched that episode. Speaking of the Race, how sad is it that Mike and Mel got out last Sunday, I really liked those fellas.

Good for Zoe eating pizza, yum!! Dylon also is in the category of not being a "normal" child. He hates mac and cheese, ramen, or any noodle for that fact. He isn't so fond of juice either, prefers water!?! Does this abnormalcy run in the Gentry gene pool??
Sheesh, I didn't even know you guys had a blog! Looks like you're doing awesome. I actually get jealous when I hear stories like the one about Zoe distributing pizza throughout your house.
Oh yeah, I totally remember that Amazing Race episode. Lamest final task ever, but the pizza looked good. Lousy Freddy and Kendra, they so didn't deserve to win. "Waaahh, I can't eat this pizza, the tomatoes are too CHUNKY!" Kris and Jon should have had that one in the bag.
